Hello, i am new to spagobi.
I tried installing the All-In-One-SpagoBI-3.3-01202012.zip package on a ubuntu 11.10 server
The readme says to run the bin/spagobistart.sh

This gives me an error "unable to find start.sh"

the last 5 lines of the script are:

cd "$PRGDIR"/".."/"database"
exec "start.sh" start "$@"
cd "$PRGDIR"
exec "$EXECUTABLE" start "$@"

I am not an expert in Bash, but i think exec "start.sh" should be changed in exec "./start.sh"

Am i correct or am i doing something else wrong here?

it'is correct. But even more simply, when you run SpagoBI, you can write on the shell the command ./Startup.sh

You are right…
From this realease we use the spagobistart.sh to start the demo. The aim of this script is to start the database HSQL and SpagoBI..
If you can’t start the server with spagobistart.sh you can follow the way of Monia: start separately the db and the application.

Act in this way:

1) If you want to use the hsql db of the demo, execute SpagoBI-Server-3.3/database/start.sh
2) Execute SpagoBI-Server-3.3/bin/startup.sh

Possible problems:
1) you must have the grant to execute the scripts. If you haven’t them, execute chmod 755 *.sh in the directories of the two sh
2) If you have encoding problems use the command dos2unix *.sh

Hope this helps.
