Thanks, SOLVED for spagobi 4.1 and talend 5.4. Remember to change the label name difference with the name of your ETL - Talend Job (because, this name of document has been assigned for the Talend job and you need to create a new document in document tree for run the uploaded job)

Just go to Window > Preferences > Talend > Import/Export > SpagoBi Server > check Enable/Disable Deploy on SpagoBi > add your server and finish.

(tested on TOS 5.2.2 and SpagoBI-Server-4.2-10042014)

Hello,
I'm facing the same problem "ETL Process started" but nothing is happening and no trace in logs?
Do I have to configure something in the TalendEngine Webapps on SpagoBI server?
What did you do to solve this issue?
Tx for your help

Hello

I'm using SpagoBI 5.2 with TOS (Data Integration) 5.1.0 (downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/talend-studio/files/Talend%20Open%20Studio/).
My job works fine when running in TOS and both exported .bat and .sh files are successfully tested as a standalone job (executing on Windows and Mac).
I have both SpagoBI server and TOS in one machine (Windows Server 2012 R2).
In TOS, SpagoBI server is configured as follows (window > preferences > Talend > Import/Export > SpagoBI Server):

Host: localhost or 127.0.0.1
Port: 8080
Login: biadmin
Password: biadmin

But.. after using Deploy on SpagoBI button (and getting no errors) nothing happens!! and I can't see my job anywhere in SpagoBI server. (There is no [PROJECT_NAME]\[JOB_NAME] in this directory: resources\talend\RuntimeRepository\java\)

I tried to deploy it manually using copy and paste! but after manually place the exported job into this directory (resources\talend\RuntimeRepository\java\) and creating a document in SpagoBI server using this template:

.. when I click on the created document, I get this error: "Error while executing job.".
The ETL process has been created in a subfolder named ETL (as configured in \webapps\SpagoBITalendEngine\WEB-INF\classes\engine-config.xml, I mean this tag: <spagobi_functionality_label>ETL</spagobi_functionality_label> and runtimeRepository root directory is configured this way: <runtimeRepository_root_dir>RuntimeRepository</runtimeRepository_root_dir>)

I really don't know what else to do! Having no Idea about this problem, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Talend Open Studio 5.6 or 6.2, configure SpagoBI server and try deploy your jobs under SpagoBI 5.1 or 5.2. Works for me.

Solution which I used for the following config SpagoBI Server 5.2, Talend Studio 6.2.1

Build your job to the archive : eg. job.zip

Extract the job to a folder

In your Spago serwer go to the directory

<instal directory>/resources/talend/RuntimeRepository/java

Create there a folder with the name of the project in Studio (project_name below).

Copy the contents of the built zip into that folder.

Create a template file: spagobi.xml in project folder with a contents:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<etl>
<job context="Default" jobName="job_name" language="java" project="project_name"/>
</etl>

You will also need that template file in your workstation for attaching to the spago document.

Login to your SpagoBI as biadmin

Create a document of type ETL process and name of your job
Indicate the target datasource for your ETL (must be defined and compatible with the url from your project in Talend Studio).
Indicate the template file (the system lets you choose a file from your workstation)
Save and run your document.
Analyze the logs if they don't complain about data sources (server names in your workstation and in your server must be compatible)

After starting the job document there is a message "etl.process.started"
I don't think the message will change after a successful execution
