I had created a business model in SPAGOBI studio 3.1, connecting to my sql server. I 've retrieved all the tables correctly.
But when I created a new query from the model, metaquery file is created but throwing the error below.

"Query Editor Cannot be opened: Impossible to locate model file []"

Could not open the editor: An exception was thrown during initialization

I don't know if it's problem with the model or installation.
Any help on this is much appreciated.

First could you try making a refresh on the model and query folder before trying to open the file?

to refresh press F5 or right clink on the folder and choose refresh

Tried refreshing both the folders, still the same error.
I am using Studio 3.1 on windows 7.

I 've opened the metaquery file in text editor and found the following in it.
{"queryMeta": {"modelPath": "D:\\Softs\\SpagoBI\\SpagoBIStudio20110721_Win\\workspace\\Prac1\\Metadata_Model\\Model1.sbimodel"}}

Path for the model file seems fine.

Sorry I cannot replicate your problem,
would be useful if you can put logging at debug level;
under plugins, find plugin it.eng.spagobi.meta.querybuilder and modify logback.xml putting as follow (instead of ERROR)

<logger name="it.eng.spagobi" additivity="false" level="DEBUG">
<appender-ref ref="FILE"/>
</logger>

restart eclipse and your log should be richer, in order to understand where your execution stops.

Check there are no empty spaces in your eclipse path (should not be a problem anyway)

thanks

The options you mentioned are already present in the file.
Now I tried to connect to MySQL server and it is working fine. But had another problem now.

I 've created a model and query.
Then I 've added a new server in Resources -> Server
I 've give a name for the server, gave the Url as 'http://localhost:8080/SpagoBI'. User: biadmin, password: biadmin. Clicked on Active and clicked the Test button. It said 'Test Succesful'

But when I tried to upload the model to server I am getting the following error 'error in uploading datamart: check server definition is right and server is available'

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Sandeep.

I also got the same error like the first poster, I am using Ubuntu and Oracle as database. Database connection is on and also I am not able to upload the model to server.

When I tried to create a datamart from model getting the error "JPA Source code NOT correctly complied" "Cannot create JPA mapping clause"

Hi,

I've encountered the same error recently and was able to resolve by:

Try checking the if you have the correct driver for MySQL, better yet check the Storage engine being used by mysql and use the corresponding driver.

hope this helps

Hello,

I've got almost the same problem described in this topic, as said in a different topic (http://www.spagoworld.org/jforum/posts/list/0/852.page#2646) but the solution provided by 1delcruz wasn't totally clear to me.

I got the last version available of both the MySql dbms server and the JDBC driver, so I hope this is the correct system configuration.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi Dancap,

Please check which storage engine your MySQL Database is using (MyIsam [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver] or InnoDB [org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver]) and use the correct driver.

At least this worked for me.

Thanks.

I wasn't thinking at all about MySql engine, anyway unfortunately driver definition is all right. I tried to change the engine and the driver class, but it didn't have success.
Anyway thanks a lot about the tip, next time I will consider this making a connection to MySQL Jdbc.

Hi, I had the same error. After reading "problem while querying business model" I inspected the log metacompiler_errors.txt and I realized it was a compiler error.

In my case it was incidental, I had a two tables: one named "ANNU_R_DATI_BRA" the other "ANNU_R_DATI_BRA_PK" which creates a conflict in the java class generation.

In any case I'd check for metaclasses compilation errors.

BTW, anyone knows how to control the java class name generated? I tried changing business name to no avail.

... now I'm stuck with another problem (another post) ...

Yes, this could be a bug and will check a fix in the future.
Could you try to rename the physical tables on the database and check if the problem is still present?

Hi simonep.spw,
I have gotten past that problem by downloading version 3.2. Now I have next problem when I am trying to view the result of the query I created. I getting a "Impossible to refresh results page" error. I am going to create a new thread with that problem
