Are you using the right admin credentials (biadmin/biadmin)? A regular user doesn't have access to such menus.

And you can add your data sources in the demo version, like in the clean version (difference is that demo comes preconfigured, with demo datafiles, LOV, and some other stuff).
Thank you Antonella, it worked.

However if I disable "customized views", at executing my document, none of the remaining tabs get expanded,
so it has to be done manually.
How could I define a tab to appear expanded from the beginning?

Thanks!
Hello my friends,
I would like to know how can I remove some tabs from the bottom accordion, and if
is this possible for one kind of document? So in case I'm displaying a BIRT doc, no to see
"the customized views" tab.

Thanks!
I second this question, I think the locked question talks about a LOV with a single value.
The most I've been able to do is to save the selected values...
I guess maybe this in not currently possible as a query may return no values, and
what would append in attributes that take more than one value from its LOV?

(I hope the answer from the SpagoBI Masters to your question to be affirmative, and for the
multiple values thing, hopefully all of them to be taken as default)
For the busy developer, until the answer appears
I didn't spend more time getting this, and all the programming i wanted to do in java was
programmable in javascript, so as side option you can create the xml string
with javascript/groovy. Not explicitly said, but all you need is to write
the xml string as if you where echoing it (I didn't use objects or complicated js, but i guess
it would work too.)
So you can do something like:

var x = ...
...
function foo(i) { .. }
function bar1(arg) { .. }
function bar2(arg) { .. }

'<ROWS>'+
'<ROW name="'+foo(1)+'" value="'.bar1().'" />'+
'<ROW name="'+foo(2)+'" value="'.bar2().'" />'+
...
'</ROWS>'
Hi,

I'm trying to create a java class LOV but I'm kind of lost.
"The java class must implement the interface it.eng.spagobi.bo.javaClassLovs.IJavaClassLov."

I downloaded the source and I only found in the SpagoBIUtils project
/SpagoBIUtils/src/it/eng/spagobi/behaviouralmodel/lov/bo/IJavaClassLov.java
(I didn't find the java package/class mentioned in the creation lov help, however in that package
is JavaClassDetail too, so i guess it's the IJavaClassLov I should use)
I created my class implementing that IJavaClassLov class and making it part of the same package.

I put my .class into /webapps/SpagoBI/WEB-INF/classes/it/eng/spagobi/behaviouralmodel/lov/bo,
restarted my server, put my classname into the classname lov field and after testing I'm getting a ClassNotFoundException

SpagoBI.log:

java class:

Does anybody knows what am I missing or doing wrong?
Hey daareiza so much thanks for your answer.
The problem seemed that there was a bug in version 2.5, as the urls where well configured,
as soon as i switched to 2.6 version everything worked as it should be.
Last time I eddited my report I put an alert(typeof parent.execCrossNavigation) into the onclick event, into 2.5 nothing, into 2.6 'function' :)
Hi my friends,

I'm trying to create some cross navigation between two BIRT docs A and B.
A is a document with one lines/bars chart. So, to the bars I've attached the javascript "javascript:parent.execCrossNavigation(...);" function
the way is explained in the docs for that matter (in the format chart dialog, interactivity to my y-axis, event mouseclick, add hyperlink,
edit base url, URI hyperlink type, location with my script with javascript syntax selected, and 'self' as target)

Everything looks ok, but when I execute my document and try to use the "crossnavigation" nothing happends,
if I replace the parent.execCrossNavigation for nice and shiny alert, the alert does trigger, showing the window name.

The resultant links when i execute my document A looks like this (taken from the generated source):

<map id="AUTOGENBOOKMARK_1" name="AUTOGENBOOKMARK_1"><area shape="poly" coords="277,109,277,123,684,123,684,109" alt="" style="cursor: pointer;" href="javascript:parent.execCrossNavigation(this.name,'categorias_mes','','','');" target="_self" title=" Categoría: A

Promedio etiqueta: 85%

Is that the way it should look like after process the script for the cross navigation url?

I've tried with, tree and five params with no luck, changing this.name for window.name (even its the same)
My document has a PNG output (i think it doesn't affect as the javascript:alert does work)

btw, in the source, the function accepts only tree parameters:
<script>
function execCrossNavigation(windowName, label, parameters) {
document.getElementById('iframeDoc').contentWindow.execCrossNavigation(windowName, label, parameters);
}
</script>

The javascript syntax url I've tried:
"javascript:parent.execCrossNavigation(window.name,'categorias_mes',"+
"'locacion="+params["locacion"].value+
"&categoria="+params["categoria"].value.replace(/\'/g,'')+
"&tag="+row["id_dash_gtag_ppal::descripcion_tag"]+
"&fecha_12m_a_ini="+"2010-01-01"+
"&fecha_12m_a_fin="+"2010-06-30"+"',"+
"'','','tab');"

'javascript:parent.execCrossNavigation(window.name,"categorias_mes",'+
'"locacion='+params["locacion"].value+
'&categoria=' + params["categoria"].value.replace(/\'/g,'') +
'&tag='+row["id_dash_gtag_ppal::descripcion_tag"]+
'&fecha_12m_a_ini='+'2010-01-01'+
'&fecha_12m_a_fin='+'2010-06-30'+'",'+
'"","","tab");'

"javascript:parent.execCrossNavigation(this.name,'categorias_mes','','','');" <= at least this should work, shouln't it?

Has anyone faced/fixed this?

(apache tomcat 6.0.20, mysql 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.4, SpagoBI/SpagoBIRT 2.5 non demo)

Hi cchiarel, the poll was for few (5) days and so it was closed, I edited it in case you (and everybody else) want to submit a vote

Saludos!
Lol, seems nobody really cares. Well, i would vote twice if I could hehehe
Hi all.

The suggestion its about the way topics are being organized. I think it would be better idea to create forums for every engine (than tag each post with it) and store them in just one place.
That would give the forum a more organized view and could make a little easier searching for specific things.
This could be useful in case someone is not searching for any particularity but reading in general and getting info about issues for one engine.
